How big a bung do you think Blair gave Endemol to put Galloway on Celebrity Big Brother?

Incidentally, it seems to be orthodoxy in much of the leftish blogosphere that one ought to pick a side in the great Galloway versus Hitchens gangbang. Isn't this a prime illustration of the way our entire post-9/11 culture has been infected with the rhetoric of "You're either with us or you're with them..."?

We've both posted and talked (my have I talked) about the rise of the far-right in Britain (I typed Brighton first time around, Freudian slip)? Or more specifically, I have talked about the forgettable 8 months of my life I spent in the company of some armchair war-mongerers, and I refuse to be called a crackpot for saying they're living proof of the rise of the Far-Right.

Joe K has remarked intriguingly about the rise of a Sun-right that concerns him, but what are your experiences of this rise? Are they as first-hand as mine? Is it football jingoism? Is it anti-semitism that you've witnessed? Pray tell...
